| Unions Equal Communism |
What's the difference between organized Communism and organized Labor Unions? Not much. They both tell people what to do. They both promote laziness. They both promise riches at the expense of others. They both promote greed and covetousness, as does Capitalism if done in the flesh.
Maybe at one time in America, Unions were a need, but today they are as corrupt as the companies they supposedly fight. Whether my wages are stolen from my unjust employer or an unjust union, does it really make a difference in my paycheck?
My dad has been unjustly laid off of so many jobs in his life. Employers are evil who don't treat their employees right. But does that mean that we put our faith in an equally evil organization like a union to put bread on our table?
Here is the height of greed that Unions promote. For those of you who don't live in Southern California, you may not remember the terrible fires that raged in the fall of 2003 burning up much of the forests of Southern California. It was a terrible time, as many homeowners and business owners lost their whole livelihood to the flames. There was ash and smoke blocking the sun for many weeks as the fires raged. It was difficult to even do errands, because it was so torturous to even breathe wherever you went to do errands. And yet, even in the midst of smoke and ask and the loss of so many people's loss, who was out picketing the grocery stores across Southern California? The Grocer's Union. That's right. About a week before the fires actually started, the Grocer's Union decided to strike. What they didn't count on was that they would be picketing in smoke and ash for about 4 weeks. The Union told them to picket and they had to picket. The irony of this scenario was that, as these Union members were vying for MORE wages and MORE benefits and MORE stuff, they were breathing in the remains of property owners who had lost everything.
I have no respect for Unions. If I'm going to be ripped off from my evil employer, then I want to do it on my own terms. If I'm to get a raise at work , then I want it to happen because I earned it, not because I picketed for weeks (and did nothing to contribute to the world) and got my higher wages.
In all the years that my dad has been unemployed, God has never let us starve. He is absolutely faithful to feed his children when all other sources have failed. It's all a matter of where you put your faith. You can put your faith in Unions to put bread on your table, or you can put your faith in God to do so. I'd rather put my faith in God.

“The laborer is worthy of his wages.”1Timothy 5:18b
“If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10b
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon. Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? “Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying,‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient. Matthew 6:24-34
